Who We Are Sew Crazy is a diverse group of sewers who meet monthly to sew, learn and share their talents with the community through charitible sewing projects. Since September 2010, cancer patients, veterans, the homeless, shelter animals, seniors,  and children from newborn to teens have been just a few of those helped by Sew Crazy projects. Sew Crazy operates on donations, both material and monetary, and is a registered 501c3 non-profit. Sewers from beginners to old pros are welcome to join in the sewing fun and fellowship.  Anyone wanting to know more about joining can contact the group by email, info@sew-crazy.org.

Cancer Caps to Benefit Local Patients

  It has been seven years since we worked on this project, but it’s back due to request -- Cancer Caps.  We will be making two versions, but very similar to each other, to be donated locally in June.  (Due to request we are not using any additional patterns.) Fabric is a soft cotton . Please bring your sewing machine, basic sewing tools and be prepared to start sewing right away!  Donna will be leading this meeting.  There are limited written instructions so please be prepared to stay and sew.  Donna will be guiding us set by step. The meeting will be Saturday, April 20th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. It is also turn in time for those stuffed critters heading to the Children's Hospital facilities in Greeneville.  If you have animals and cannot make the April meeting, please let us know to make other arrangements. You have a choice for April lunch themes -- “Spring Has Sprung” or “Tennessee Heritage Month.”  You can always bring a bag lunch if you prefer, or bring drinks if cooking time is short.
